In mid-June, everything at HOLMER revolved around innovative slurry application technology. To mark the 30th anniversary of the Terra Variant, HOLMER invited its customers and business partners to an information day on slurry application, “HOLMER direkt 2026,” at its logistics center in Schierling.

The event kicked off the evening before with a Bavarian celebration. Martin Führer, Jürgen Eifler, and Sebastian Zunhammer Sr. (Zunhammer GmbH) looked back on the Terra Variant’s 30-year success story. Following that, Dr. Falk Hantschack provided an outlook on the future of slurry application technology and the challenges facing the industry.

Under the motto “Networked Efficiency—Digital Slurry Technology in Practical Use,” visitors were treated to a varied program the following day, featuring expert presentations, a machinery exhibition, and field demonstrations. Dr. Fabian Lichti (BaySG) provided insights into current developments in slurry application. In his presentation titled “Smart Slurry Application of the Future—A Tug-of-War Between Performance and Precision?”, Sebastian Zunhammer Jr. (Zunhammer GmbH) highlighted the challenges and potential of modern application technology. Manfred Hartinger (Mzuri) also demonstrated how the combination of strip-till methods and slurry incorporation can contribute to efficient and resource-conserving crop production.

The demonstrations of the Terra Variant 435 and Terra Variant 650 with various attachments generated particular interest, showcasing the machines’ performance and versatility in practical use. In addition, the extensive machinery exhibition provided an opportunity for professional exchanges with experts as well as discussions with users and industry colleagues.

The two days of the event highlighted how important innovation, practical experience, and collaborative partnerships are for the continued development of modern application technology. HOLMER would like to thank all guests, speakers, and partners for the successful exchange and for celebrating 30 years of Terra Variant together.
