For Growers: Agrifac UK

27.08.2014

Due to increasing sales with the Agrifac Condor and the HOLMER exxact sugar beet harvester range; on April 1st 2014, Agrifac UK moved into a new premises in March, Cambridgeshire. We have geographically only moved 0.4 miles away from our old premises, but for us as a growing company it is a vast, yet needed improvement compared to our old facilities. We can now offer an even better service for our customers.

Why have we moved?
Agrifac UK’ customer database is growing on average of 30 – 40 new customers per year, we also now hold the HOLMER exxact franchise, offering sales, parts and service to all existing and new HOLMER customers within the UK, this almost doubles our previous customer database. Hence the need for a larger premises as well as some extra staff in the service & parts departments. We have invested heavily in the aftersales department due to this, increasing our service technician team from 3 to 6 fully trained technicians in service vans holding approximately £15,000 worth of van stock – this works very well for our customers, it means we can solve a lot of issues without the need to keep coming back to our building to retrieve parts etc. Our workshop has also doubled in size to our previous site, offering a lot more indoor space to work on machine refurbishments out of season and pre delivery inspections. Our workshop is now equipped with an overhead crane, this saves a lot of time and effort compared to our previous site where everything was done manually. We are very proud of our new premises, it is now somewhere that we can bring customers to show off our facilities; this gives the customers a very good and confident feeling when dealing with Agrifac UK. The advantages are already showing; as we can now work on 4 machines inside the workshop, whereas before we could only work on 2 machines, the technicians are also working a lot more efficiently due to the new facilities, we are now fully equipped for any job.
